Equinox Center and EDC are hosting a luncheon event on September 14 “The Young & Restless” which targets a demographic vital to San Diego’s innovation economy 25-34 year old “millennials,” who prefer to live in an urban environment and focus on working in innovative and creative jobs and communities. A key question is how San Diego can attract and hold such individuals and enhance the vitality, creativity and diversity of the city and region. Our speaker, Joseph Cortright, is a leading economist specializing in regional economic analysis, innovation and industry clusters. He is especially concerned with the role of knowledge-based industries in shaping regional economies—a topic very much of interest to San Diego.
